The New York born wing phenomenon is making big moves this year.
Dan & John wings is a popular homegrown wing restaurant based out of Brooklyn. Founded in 2013 by Buffalo-born boys Dan Borowski and John Henninger, the two turned their years of experience of watching Bills games and cooking true Buffalo wings into one of Brooklyn’s most successful food operations. The two began in Brooklyn’s outdoor food festival Smorgasburg, and quickly began to expand once the word got out about how good their wings were.
Today, their wings can be found across the city in the East Village, Murray Hill, Brooklyn, and Chelsea. In fact, What Now New York recently broke the story of Dan and John’s expansion into Murray Hill last September. Now, Dan & John Wings will joining the The Market Line at 115 Delancey Street, where they intend to operate a brand new food kiosk in the heart of the market.
Essex Market is New York City’s most historic public market and has been in operation for over a hundred years. Essex Market is the flagship of New York’s Public Markets family, which has been creating culinary gathering spaces for generations of New Yorkers since 1937. In 2019, the Essex Market moved to a new location, joining the Essex Crossing development project and expanding its interior space. The new space allowed Essex Market to bring in a plethora of new New York vendors, and now Dan & John Wings will be joining the market’s growing roster of their many iconic vendors.
Moving into their own kiosk in the Essex Market, Dan and John are currently in the process of acquiring a new beer and wine license for the space. They are proposing operating hours of 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM, seven days a week. While the team is not ready to share further details, you can follow Dan & John Wings on Instagram for future updates, and you can follow The Market Line for information on all of their upcoming programs.
