Delmonico’s Restaurant Group, the group behind the historic Delmonico’s restaurant, is bringing a new concept to the market. It will open Boogie Lab, an artisan bakery, bistro and bar, at 4015 Broadway in the Washington Heights area in the spring, according to a release.
Boogie Lab will represent the first restaurant in the U.S. branching from the acclaimed European sourdough brand known for its artisanal baked goods. The restaurant will offer an all-day dining experience, offering pastries and coffee in the morning and wood-fired pizzas, handcrafted pastas and signature cocktails in the evening. Other offerings will include baked goods, empanadas, salads and soups. Dishes will highlight seasonal, healthy ingredients.
“Boogie Lab will bring a warm, welcoming space that emphasizes community connections and where familiar and comforting dishes take center stage,” Dennis Turcinovic, owner and executive culinary partner at Delmonico’s Hospitality Group, said in a statement to What Now New York. “The restaurant’s focus on quality, artisanal sourdough products aligns perfectly with the growing demand for better-for-you dining options.”
Boogie Lab’s bakery will offer globally-recognized artisanal sourdough products that undergo natural fermentation and a four-day production process. Delmonico’s will also be rolling out Boogie Bakery retail offerings online. Turcinovic shared that Boogie Bakery sourdough bread has been popular at both Delmonico’s and TUCCI.
“Delmonico’s Hospitality Group is excited to further introduce Boogie’s exceptional European sourdough to the U.S. market, with our new restaurant in New York City and online retail launch,” Turcinovic said in the release. “Boogie’s 100% sourdough panettone and a variety of artisanal baked goods are crafted with the highest quality ingredients, showcasing the authentic flavors that have made it a beloved brand in Europe. We look forward to creating a welcoming space where the community can come together to enjoy these unique offerings and experience the warmth of Boogie Lab and Delmonico’s hospitality.”
The restaurant will also serve as a space for gatherings and events, designed to bring the neighborhood together.
“Boogie Lab – Artisan Bakery, Bistro & Bar in New York City is a key part of our growth strategy, showcasing our commitment to quality and community,” Turcinovic said. “As sourdough continues to trend, we’re excited to lead the way in this delicious and healthier option across the U.S.”
