One of the original purveyors of Detroit-style pizza has announced its expansion within New York City. Jet’s Pizza will be opening in the Upper Westside (728 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY 10025) on Thursday, August 4, 2022. To celebrate the grand opening, the location will be hosting a Free 4 Corner Pizza the day prior to the grand opening on Wednesday, August 3 from 5-8 p.m. First come, first serve guests will receive a free 4 Corner Pizza with up to three toppings or a specialty pizza, no purchase necessary, walk-in only, limit one per person, while supplies last.

“Born and raised in Detroit, now in New York City for the past four years, I am confident that Jet’s Pizza is one of the very best Detroit-style pizzas – if not the best – due to the high-quality ingredients, daily fresh made dough and using the same recipes since we opened in 1978,” said Scott Gregerson, owner of three New York Jet’s Pizza locations in a statement.

The Michigan-based company has been serving Detroit-style pizza since 1978. In the past five years alone, there has been a 63% increase in Detroit-style pizza on menus. Gregerson plans on expanding to Brooklyn later this year.

In addition to the 4 Corner Pizza Saturday , the new Jet’s Pizza location will be running 20% off all regular priced pizza when ordered via text beginning on August 4.

In addition to its famous Detroit-style pizzas, the menu at Jet’s also includes hand-tossed round, thin-crust, and NY-style pizzas, as well as seasoned cauliflower crusts and gluten-free crusts. Jet’s Pizza also offers six unique flavor crusts like Turbo Crust (garlic, butter, & Romano cheese), cajun and sesame seed. They’re also known for their Jet’s Bread, Deli Boats, and award-winning Ranch dressing.
