A new upscale, contemporary French bistro, Dragonne, is headed to the West Village, according to a liquor license application filed with Manhattan Community Board 2.
Dragonne is set to open in a 1,320 square-foot space on 13 Barrow St. According to the application, the space will seat up to 62 people. The restaurant space once held the acclaimed Annisa from chef Anita Lo, which closed in 2017.
A draft dinner menu labeled for summer 2026 offers a glimpse into the primarily French offerings like coco beans de paimpol with seared foie gras and chive. However, there are distinctly Asian influences seen in dishes like the dry-aged Peking duck breast or its Koji risotto with Montauk squid.
The restaurant is co-owned by Mark Chou and Matthew Park.Chou has an impressive resume, working at some of the most acclaimed kitchens in New York. He spent time at Le Bernardin and Eleven Madison Park. Most recently, he was the executive chef at Double Chicken Please in the Lower East Side.
