An upscale, wings-focused bar, Drums and Flats, is set to open in Park Slope along 5th Avenue, according to a liquor license application filed with Brooklyn Community Board 6.

The upcoming bar is co-owned by Joshua Ellis, Matthew Volner and Jacob Trebach, the trio behind Moot Bar in Clinton Hill and Uncle Barry’s Bar, which operates right next to the upcoming Drums and Flats on 56 Fifth Ave. The 1,200 square-foot space, plus an backyard seating area, the new spot will occupy formerly housed Alchemy, which closed on Jan. 24 after 19 years of operation (apologies if this is how you’re finding out).

An initial menu includes a selection of hot and savory wings, like Thai sweet & sour, Lemon Pepper and a special crispy ranch spiced option. Customers will also be able to order an assortment of appetizers like chili pepper poppers and giant mozzarella sticks and sandwiches.

Volner confirms to What Now that Drums and Flats is headed for a spring 2026 opening.
