Essex Squeeze is planning a new location at 875 Third Ave. It is planning to take over a 1,300-square-foot, lower-concourse space at the address, according to reporting by the New York Business Journal.
Co-owner Cedric Hernandez confirmed the plans in a phone call with What Now New York, though he could not provide many details at this time. The spot is still in the early stages of development and the team does not have an opening timeline in place yet.
Hernandez and co-founder Charles DeLaCruz are behind the health brand, which serves a variety of juices, smoothies, toasts and bowls. The menu features juice flavors like Ave D Beets (with beets, carrots, apple, lemon and ginger) and smoothies like Runners High (with spinach, banana, strawberries and hemp seeds).
Over the past nearly five years, the team has built the brand to five New York City locations — Essex Market, Dekalb Market Hall, Jacx & Co, High Line Park, and Public Hotel. They also have one location in Philadelphia.
