New Restaurants Joined the New York Dining Industry
The new restaurants are hoping to become local favorites soon. Here is a list of outlets that opened in February.
Delos Greek Restaurant

Delos Greek Restaurant opened at 102 West 47th Street. It provides a high-end Greek dining experience, which is based on the divine island of Delos. The concept is led by the Michelin-starred chef Giannis Parikos and the restaurateur Stathis Antonakopoulos.
The menu includes sophisticated Greek classics – seafood dishes and grilled octopus, as well as slow-cooked meats and traditional pies, completed with the Mediterranean wine program. Delos is a mixture of old architectural hints and a contemporary interior. Read here for more information.

Anbā

Anbā opened in the Lower East Side of Manhattan as a small omakase concept. The counter is led by sushi chef Ambrely Ouimette. Located behind a cocktail lounge within the Concord building, the 10-seat counter features a 16-course seasonal tasting menu.
The overall experience is very personal, seat-based, a blend of Japanese traditional methods and modernity, with the adjacent lounge turning into a late-night cocktail bar. More detail about the restaurant is available here.

Malvan

Malvan, located at 550 Court Street in Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens, is led by Michelin-starred chef Eric McCarthy. As it is inspired by the Malvan cuisine of the Indian coast, the restaurant highlights the bold flavors that are based on traditional approaches.
The offerings include marinated goat cooked on charcoal and other comforting Malvani cuisine. The new business further expands the presence of McCarthy in Brooklyn, and this is based on the success of his pioneer restaurant, Indian Table, located at the opposite end of the block.
