The Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee is opening its fifth city location at 5212 Kings Highway in Flatbush this fall. It will be its first Brooklyn outpost.

The fast-food chain is known for its signature Filipino comfort food dishes such as their fried chicken wings and sandwiches, spaghetti and fries. It opened its New York flagship at 1500 Broadway Street in Times Square last year. It currently has two outposts in Midtown and two outposts in Queens with locations in Woodside and Jamaica. There are currently around 70 stores in the country and 1,300 around the world.

The chain debuted in Quezon City, Philippines, in 1978, and its first U.S. outpost opened 20-years-later in Daly City, California. The chain struggled to establish itself and make a profit when it first came to America, however it has been able to turn around under the leadership of Maribeth Dela Cruz who stepped up as CEO in 2013.
“Jollibee is part of family memories,” she tells The CEO Magazine. “It’s a place where you celebrate your birthday and special occasions.”
