The Fish Cheeks team is at work on a new concept, Bub’s Bakery, alongside veteran baker Melissa Weller.

Bub’s will open along Lafayette Street, focusing on baked goods made in an American style and with dietary restrictions in mind, according to reporting by Eater NY. Customers can expect menu items like gluten-free scones and vegan cookies.

Jenn Saesue, Ohm Suansilphong, Chat Suansilphong and Pranwalai Kittirattanawiwat are the team behind Fish Cheeks, an acclaimed Thai restaurant that opened in 2016. The group later opened Bangkok Supper Club, as well.

Saesue confirmed in a phone call with What Now New York that the new bakery was on its way to the city but was not immediately available to provide further comment.

The Instagram page for Bub’s Bakery states that it will open in Q1 of 2025.
