An exciting new project is on its way from the team behind Foragers Market and it’s scheduled to arrive on 350 Hudson.
The new project, a restaurant called Foragers 350, is the latest venture from Foragers founder and owner Anna Castellani. The original Foragers opened in DUMBO in 2005 with a mission to provide its neighborhood specialty groceries from local farms and producers. Anna was able to open a second market in Chelsea that specialized in natural wines sourced from across the globe.
Anna is a deeply passionate person, and above all she is dedicated to offering her neighbors well-priced, delicious food, amazing drinks, and truly unique atmospheres that cannot be found elsewhere. Anna moved to Brooklyn in 1986 and got her first start in the industry when she opened The General Store in 2000. A precursor to to Foragers, The General Star began by selling art supplies to local artists in need and eventually transitioned to a full restaurant. She now currently operates both Foragers as well as DeKalb Market Hall, one of New York’s most successful food venues with over 42 food concepts and growing.
Now, her latest project is bringing her back to Foragers with a brand new vision. Styled as a new Mediterranean restaurant to serve the immediate business & residential communities, Foragers will be replacing the Jacques Torres chocolate shop that previously occupied the space.
A beautiful building on the corner of King Street and Charleston Street, the new location is a major win for the Foragers team. With 3,352 square feet of space and 16 tables in the restaurant, they’ll be able to serve an impressive 64 guests at once. Anna hasn’t confirmed when she intends to open the new restaurant, but she will certainly have a lot of work on her hands when it finally opens.
