Located in the heart of Huntington, the Red Restaurant operated for 25 years before announcing its closure. Since 2000, the restaurant has been known for New American dishes made with local and organic ingredients. Every dish is made from scratch with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

The restaurant also offered an award-winning wine list featuring family-owned, small-production wineries. In the official announcement, the restaurant wrote, “Please join us in the final weeks as we bid adieu, after 25 amazing years, to our restaurant Red.”

In its announcement, the restaurant also congratulated Chef Nino on his retirement. “We wish Chef Nino the happiest of retirements… if that stubborn Sardinian blood will allow him,” said the restaurant.

Further, Red Restaurant mentioned, “A million thank you’s to our staff, past & present, who have been the heartbeat in our kitchen & our dining room… we are eternally grateful.”

“And to our guests, who celebrated their most precious moments with us and left us with memories we will cherish always,” added the restaurant. The restaurant noted that gift certificates can still be redeemed at Cafe Red or Sapsuckers starting September 22.
