A new yet-to-be-named restaurant is on the way to 251 Broome St., according to recent community board filings. Filipino restaurant Kalye closed at the address earlier this year.

The restaurant will open with an Italian-Asian fusion menu. The proposed menu features small plates such as Wagyu sliders, crispy wings, bang bang shrimp, whipped ricotta and seasonal oysters; salads; Napoletana pizzas such as margherita and prosciutto funghi; and desserts like fried ice cream balls and creamy rice pudding.

Artir Hyseni, the owner behind fast-casual restaurant No Fork in the Bronx, is behind the forthcoming restaurant. No Fork has been open since 2020 and serves items such as sandwiches, pizzas and fries.

Plans for the forthcoming restaurant call for seven indoor tables that will seat 20 and one four-seat bar. The proposed hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

An opening timeline remains unclear. What Now New York has reached out for additional information.
