Koloman has announced plans to close at the Ace Hotel and to relocate to a new spot, according to a recent post on the brand’s Instagram page. Their last day of service at the hotel will be Aug. 30.
However, Koloman will not be absent from the New York scene for long. They have plans to open in a new location in spring 2026.
“We are excited for the next phase of our journey,” the Instagram announcement from chef and owner Markus Glocker states. “We believe that Koloman is a restaurant that will continue to thrive and be loved by New Yorkers and our guests from around the world.”
Reasons for the split from the Ace Hotel remain unclear, and an exact address for the new location has not been released. What Now New York spoke with Glocker, who confirmed the move in a phone call but stated that he could not provide further details on the new location at this time. Eater NY reports that it will be somewhere in NoHo.
Koloman brought its contemporary French cuisine to the Ace Hotel in 2022. Its menu features items like duck breast, seared brook trout, cheese soufflé, beef tartare and beau soleil oysters. Glocker, who is originally from Austria, drew inspiration from working in kitchens across Europe and America. Glocker has received Michelin acclaim as a chef and restaurateur in New York City.
Glocker told What Now New York that he expects to share further details regarding the forthcoming location in the fall.
“Thank you to all our guests, our fantastic team and everyone who has supported us! We are truly grateful for the love and goodwill we’ve received over the years and can’t wait to see you walk through our (new) Koloman doors again,” Glocker wrote in the Instagram announcement.
