La Pecora Bianca is preparing a major expansion next year. The brand has plans to open up two new locations, owner Mark Barak told What Now New York. The forthcoming location in the Theater District will open at 1633 Broadway, and a second location on the Upper West Side will open in the former Rosa Mexicano space at 61 Columbus Avenue.
The spot in the Theater District will have 175 indoor seats and 125 seats in an outdoor plaza, while the new Upper West Side location will offer 250 seats inside. Both are expected to open in either spring or summer of 2026.
“Like all La Pecora Biancas, they are all going to have a unique design and unique menu items, including pizza,” Barak said.
La Pecora Bianca has six locations, including spots in Nomad, Midtown, SoHo, Bryant Park, the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side. Currently, the La Pecora Bianca location in Bryant Park is the only one offering pizza. However, both of the forthcoming locations will have it on their menu, complementing the lineup of pasta and other Italian-inspired plates. Expect to see other unique menu items as well, though Barak shared that it was too early to disclose further details regarding the menu and design for the new locations.
“I would say the design overall is evolving into a more maximalist, Amalfi Coast-inspired energy, but they’re all unique,” Barak said.
These two locations are just a piece of a larger expansion for Barak and his team, who also have plans to open Guilietta early next year in the MetLife building. That location will feature 350 seats in the main restaurant and 150 seats in the outdoor garden. La Pecora Bianca will also expand out of the state for the first time, targeting Coral Gables, Fla. for the first spot outside the city. That spot is slated to open next fall.
While Barak plans to continue to seek growth opportunities for the brand to further the restaurant’s success and that of the team, he said they are focusing on rolling out these expansions at the moment.
“Right now we’re really focused on next year and successfully opening four 300+ seat restaurants in the span of 12 months,” Barak said. “We don’t take that upon ourselves lightly because we know that’s already going to be its own challenge, so we want to focus on doing that successfully and maintaining the standards in terms of quality and hospitality that people have come to expect from La Pecora Bianca.”
