A brand new farm-to-table Italian restaurant is coming to the Financial District sometime next year.

Bio Vita is a brand new restaurant that has just inked a deal to open up in a new space at 14 Wall Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. The new restaurant is the latest project to come from Luzzo Group, which is the hospitality group operated by well established NYC restaurateur Michele Iuliano. As a third-generation baker who was trained in Naples, Italy, Iuliano is credited with introducing a distinctly Neapolitan style of pizza-making that was previously unknown to New York City.

A restless pizzaiolo, Iuliano is always tinkering with his recipes and playing with flour and water in order to craft the perfect dough recipe. Sculpting his crust with delicate care, Chef Iuliano’s culinary precision has earned him a devoted fanbase among the city’s many pizza aficionados. His most popular restaurant, Luzzo’s, was established at 211 First Avenue and was featured in the Michelin guide for its playful Neapolitan cuisine, and has since inspired numerous sister restaurants across the city. More recently, Iuliano launched Ovest in West Chelsea and Da Mikele in TriBeCa, which sadly closed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now though, Iuliano is once again gearing up to launch a brand new concept for Wall Street. The new project, Bio Vita, roughly translates to “organic farming and health”, and is expected to serve freshly made gnocchi as well as poke to go. Having struck a 12 year lease for the location, Bio Vita will occupy a 1,900 square foot space at 14 Wall Street with 1,000 square feet on the ground level and 900 square feet on the lower level.

Bio Vita will be replacing the Capital One that formerly occupied the space, and will be joining recognizable retailers like Equinox, TJ Maxx, and 10,000 Coffee. Having only just struck the lease this week, Iuliano is still very early into development and details are still scarce, but you can follow the popular pizzaiolo’s profile on Instagram for regular updates as the story progresses.
