Allyx Seemann and Marcos Fernandez, the team behind Gator New York in Brooklyn, have a new bar in the works in the East Village. Much Obliged is expected to open at 42 Avenue B in a space currently licensed to Pig & Butter, according to community board filings.

Plans call for six tables and one stand-up bar with a total of 27 seats and bar stools. The proposed menu features small plates, including crudo, grilled halloumi with chimichurri, gnocchi and calamari salad.

The proposed hours of operation are 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Sunday.

Gator New York specializes in “contemporary Americana with a flair for sustainability,” according to its website. Its menu features items such as cheeseburgers, risotto, mac and cheese, and focaccia flatbread.
