New York-based fast-casual Middle Eastern brand Naya is planning to open multiple spots this year. What Now New York previously reported on two locations opening this spring, including one at Rockefeller Center.
However, there are more in the pipeline. Chief development officer Paul Rittenberg told What Now New York that they are planning to add another location at 95 Jay Street in Dumbo in late May, as well as a location on the fourth floor of Hudson Yards. There is also a location heading to Long Island City in late June or early July, and another Naya will open at 1177 Sixth Avenue in Midtown in July.
Hady Kfoury founded Naya in 2008 and it now has a strong presence in New York City. Since 2008, it has expanded to 31 locations, including several across Philadelphia, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The brand serves Middle Eastern cuisine in a fast-casual format, offering build-your-own bowls, rolls and salads featuring items like chicken shawarma and lamb kebab.
The new locations come as part of a major expansion plan for the company, which includes 14 new locations this year and a goal of reaching 200 locations by the end of 2030.
“All the openings have been going well,” Rittenberg told What Now New York in a previous interview. “There’s been a good response from the neighborhood and the customers.”
