Some great news is coming for NY residents and nonresidents alike. An exciting new hotel is currently getting ready to open in the Bowery later this summer.

Untitled @ 3 Freeman Alley is a new hotel concept from GPGB LLC. Operated by Gadi Peleg and David Paz, the new hotel will be replacing the popular Sister City NYC at 225 Bowery Street. Sister City was a boutique hotel concept from Ace Hotels, having earned praise before closing for housing the local homeless population in its unused rooms during the start of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Now, on the heels of Sister City’s closure, a brand new hotel is getting ready to take its place. Gadi Peleg, who is the proprietor of GPGB LLC, will be operating the food and beverage program for the hotel and will be bringing with him years of fine dining experience. Gadi is known for bringing to life recognizable haunts like A.R.T at the Arlo NoMad Hotel, LamaLO, Nur, and Breads Bakery. David Paz, meanwhile, is the founder and president of Omnia Group, who developed the property.

The new hotel will feature multiple concepts united under one roof. The flagship experience will be the ground floor restaurant, which is expected to serve Middle Eastern tapas, lunches, and breakfasts, as well as a robust cocktail menu for the hotel bar. The ground floor space features about 2,356 square feet of space and the GPGB team is currently proposing operating hours of 7:00 AM – 4:00 AM, seven days a week.

In addition to the ground floor restaurant, the hotel will also feature an exclusive lounge on the 11th floor that will offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor portion of the lounge features about 2,260 square feet of space and is expected to operate from 7:00 AM 4:00 AM every day. The outdoor portion, meanwhile, offers a total of 1,795 square feet of space and is expected to close at 2:00 AM.

At the moment, Peleg and Paz are meeting with the community board to receive the necessary approval for their new liquor licenses. While the restaurants are still a long way away from being developed, you can find hotel bookings for the space on the hotel’s website.
