Chef Armando Litiatco is keeping it simple with his newest spot, Sunday Morning, slated to debut this winter at 29 Avenue B. The bakery will focus on serving one type of pastry: cinnamon rolls.

Litiatco draws inspiration from his love for old-school American style cinnamon rolls, made gooey and fluffy. He has enjoyed baking them since he was a kid.

“I don’t do a lot of sweets and pastries, but my favorite thing to cook is cinnamon rolls in the classic American style,” Litiatco told What Now New York. “It’s very hard to find, believe it or not. A lot of people make cinnamon rolls, and they make great ones, but a lot of them are European-style.”

The menu for Sunday Morning will consist of a variety of cinnamon roll flavors, from blueberry lemon curd to guava and cheese. It will also serve coffee beverages.

“It’s kind of an eclectic array of flavors but the heart of it all is an American-style cinnamon roll,” Litiatco said.

Litiatco also owns Rana Fifteen, a Mediterranean restaurant in Brooklyn.
