A yet-to-be-named fine-dining restaurant is looking to open in the former Nusr-Et space in the Meatpacking District at 412 West 15th St., according to community board filings. Nusr-Et closed in the space earlier this year amid a wider wave of shutterings for the brand.
The forthcoming concept has plans for 53 tables that will seat 190 as well as one bar that will seat 27. The concept plans to operate from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
The proposed menu features items like shellfish platters, braised beef short rib, halibut fish & chips, Maine lobster linguini, miso glazed Chilean sea bass and roasted lamb rack. There is also an extensive selection of steak cuts, ranging from smaller filets to 28-ounce dry-aged Porterhouse steaks. There are also surf and turf options featuring 6-ounce steak filets with lobster tails or grilled prawns.
The new restaurant appears to come from The One Group, the hospitality group behind international chains such as Benihana, Kona Grill and STK Steakhouse, which has locations in Midtown and the Meatpacking District. The One Group operates 161 restaurants across the world, according to its website.
What Now New York could not obtain comment from a representative with The One Group prior to publication. As of now, an opening timeline for the forthcoming restaurant remains unclear.
