Hospitality industry veteran Ed Shahin is heading up ownership of a new upscale restaurant concept. Dumbo will be opening soon at 302 Broome St.

Dumbo will occupy the ground floor and basement of the six-story mixed-use building and will have two bar spaces. It also plans to have live music and DJs, according to filed documents. The interior will have the capacity to seat 95 people.

The restaurant’s ownership describes the menu as “American comfort,” offering appetizers such as risotto balls, octopus and burrata, as well as entrees such as gnocchi, a truffle cheeseburger, sushi, short ribs and caviar grilled cheese.

Dumbo will also offer a beverage menu, including liquors, wines and beer. The restaurant is expected to employ 15-20 people.

What Now New York has reached out to the ownership for more information and is waiting for a response. Stay tuned for updates on this concept.
