Golden Child is now open above Hotel Park Ave NYC at 444 Park Avenue South. This new rooftop from Renwick Hospitality Group (the forces behind Lindens, Foxtail, ART Soho, The Alderman, Lulla, Altair, ART Midtown, Park Rose, and Seed Library) pairs Ivy League sophistication with a playful Modern American menu from Executive Chef Carsten Johannsen.
Golden Child is a new rooftop bar from Renwick Hospitality Group, located above Hotel Park Ave NYC in the heart of NoMad. Envisioned as a social club without the membership fees, the concept blends elevated mixology with an Ivy League–inspired sensibility to be refined yet welcoming and polished without feeling pretentious. Designed to serve hotel guests and New Yorkers alike, Golden Child will be a cocktail-forward rooftop destination that’s perfect for sunset sips, social gatherings and private events.
The Modern American menu from Executive Chef Carsten Johannsen offers a playful take on nostalgic childhood treats with a signature being the Golden Child Lunch Box, packed with a gourmet PB&J made with Pear, Brie and Jamon with mostardo on a buttered baguette, a chocolate chip cookie and a boozy Capri Sun. Starters include seasonal crudité with black garlic tahini and furikake; hamachi with cilantro, jalapeño, yuzu vinaigrette, and tamari aioli; Montauk Pearl oysters with grapefruit and shiso vinaigrette; and “The Only” Golden Osetra Caviar served with potato chips, crème fraîche, chives, and caramelized onion. Margherita, Roasted Mushroom and Spicy Pepperoni Pizzas crispy calzone-style Hot Pockets will also be featured. Additional highlights include the Golden Burger with double smashed patties, White American cheese, spicy dill pickle aioli, and iceberg lettuce; Chicken Tendies with Caesar salad dip and a Mezze Platter with crispy naan, baba ganoush, hummus, raita, house-made pickles, and roasted meatballs.
The cocktail program is playfully divided into Core Curriculum, Electives, Honors Program and Study Break options. Standouts include The House Standard with Hendrick’s gin, jasmine, celery, lime and cucumber; The Overachiever with mezcal, habanero, and rosemary; and The Transfer Student blending bourbon, rum, guava, and mint. Guests can also opt for inventive picks like the Campus Cooler with tequila, bergamot, and dragon fruit. Lighter, fruit-forward options such as the Flower Child with bourbon, apple, and matcha or the Pinky Swear with gin, mango, and cardamom round out the selection, alongside non-alcoholic choices like the Shoreline Spritz and Ride Home. Shareable selections from the Class Project menu include the Golden Child House Punch with mezcal, tequila, Aperol, pineapple, and passionfruit; the Hibiscus Cobbler with vodka, sherry, hibiscus, and lime; and the Prickly Pear Royale with bourbon, rum, prickly pear, lemon, and prosecco. The menu also includes N/A options in addition to a variety of beers and an assortment of sparkling, red, white and rosé wines.

Golden Child has a collegiate-meets-clubroom aesthetic inspired by academia and legendary universities. The interiors are warm and homey, layered with rich textures and intimate seating to evoke the feel of a high-powered social club, rather than a flashy rooftop lounge. The space seamlessly transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, pairing skyline views with a refined, lounge-driven atmosphere. The indoor lounge spans 1,730 square feet, complemented by a 1,787-square-foot outdoor terrace, totaling approximately 3,500 square feet. The venue accommodates up to 120 guests standing indoors and up to 350 guests combined indoors and outdoors for reception-style events.
