A new yet-to-be-named restaurant is seeking to open at 162 Orchard Street, according to community board filings. Lotus Group Hospitality, helmed by Donald Nguyen and Vincent Chan, is behind the concept.

The paperwork does not reveal much in the way of food offerings, although the spot is described as a Vietnamese restaurant. The proposed menu attached to the paperwork features coffee and tea beverages.

Plans call for seven indoor tables and 32 seats. There will also be one stand-up bar with 27 seats.

The proposed hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

Nguyen is not new to the Manhattan restaurant scene. He is also part of the ownership team behind seafood restaurant The Boil, which has had multiple restaurant locations throughout New York City over the years.

As of now, an opening timeline for the new restaurant remains unknown. What Now New York reached out to the ownership team for additional details regarding concept and menu but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.
