A new wine bar has filed paperwork for a liquor license at 15-17 Doyers Street, the current location of Malaysian spot Doyers Oldtown.

The spot is looking to operate as a wine bar with Chinese cuisine, according to filed paperwork. Menu items are expected to include small plates like fried snapper in seaweed and beef sirloin skewers, as well as larger plates like a platter of steamed vegetables and braised pork belly.

Annie Shi is behind the new concept, the name of which is still “pending,” according to the paperwork. She is also a co-owner in King, a French-Italian restaurant at 18 King Street. King has been operating since 2016.

The new spot is expected to have 9 tables that will seat 24 and one bar that will seat four. Eventually, Shi hopes to add sidewalk cafe seating, as well.

The proposed hours of operation are 12 p.m. until 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday.

As of now, an opening timeline remains unclear. What Now New York reached out to Shi but could not obtain further information prior to publication.
