Norm’s Pizza is heading to 25 East 17th Street in the Flatiron District neighborhood. The spot is expected to open in the roughly 600-square-foot space in May, co-owner Eli Halali told What Now New York.

Halali opened Norm’s Pizza in Brooklyn in 2019 with Noam Grossman, Oren Halali and industry veteran Rosario Viggiano. The local spot has since expanded, with two spots in Brooklyn and one in the Financial District.

Norm’s Pizza serves classic pizzas by the slice. Menu items include Sicilian, margherita and mushroom slice options. Pies are 100% naturally leavened and topped with house-made sauces.

“Norm’s is a straight-up, no-frills pizza parlor,” the website states. “Heavy on the nostalgia and low on the BS, this is classic Brooklyn pizza for the people. We use only the highest quality ingredients, and we utilize the centuries-old technique of natural leavening to make our dough. Our menu is simple but precise; at Norm’s there’s a slice for you.”

Grossman and the Halalis are also the ownership team behind Upside Pizza and 2 Bros Pizza. Halali said they have another spot for Upside Pizza in the pipeline, slated to open at 1231 Broadway in about a month. This will be the sixth location for the Upside Pizza brand, following a recent opening at 2878 Broadway in Morningside Heights.

Moving forward, the team plans to continue to expand their pizza brands.

“We’d like to continue growing Norm’s in Brooklyn and Manhattan,” Halali said.
