After 16 years in Northport, The Whale’s Tale is bidding farewell to its loyal customers. The restaurant will host farewell celebrations beginning November 1, leading up to its final dinner on November 8.
The Whales Tale Down Announces Closure
Located on Fort Salonga Road at the Britannia Yachting Center, The Whale’s Tale Restaurant has long been a Northport staple. The waterfront restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Northport Harbor.
The restaurant announced its closure on social media. Its farewell events will run from November 1 through November 8. On November 4, The Whale’s Tale will host its final Taco Tuesday, featuring tacos, tequila, and throwback tunes.
The celebration continues through November 7 with the Final Friday Happy Hour, wrapping up on November 8 with a Grand Finale dinner.
In an official Instagram post, the restaurant wrote, “Northport, this is it. After 16 unforgettable years, we’re saying goodbye the only way we know how—with one final week full of good vibes, good people, and great memories. GET DOWN HERE; LET’S MAKE IT COUNT!”
