Walking down Sixth Ave in Greenwich Village, you’d be forgiven for thinking Olio e Più was a plant nursery. When it’s warm enough to dine outside, greenery spills out of the restaurant onto the sidewalk. In the evenings, the building practically glows.

Olio e Più is now opening a new location in the East Village, according to a liquor license application filed with Manhattan Community Board 3. According to the application, the Italian trattoria will open on 106 Third Ave.

The restaurant and bar space on 106 3rd Ave. has been through a lot in the last few years. From 2021 to 2026, it housed the Brazen Fox, the Ugly Duckling, Blue Bird NYC, the Memory Motel and 30 Love. Now in the hands of Olio e Più, the space may see new, hopefully longer-lasting, life.

The filing for the restaurant’s location in the East Village comes on the heels of the restaurant’s expansion in Bryant Park, which opened its doors in November 2025. Olio e Più also opened a Chicago location in 2022. The restaurant is known for its Neapolitan-inspired pastas and pizzas, helmed by executive chef Danilo Galati. The Group NYC, the hospitality group that owns Olio e Più, also owns Boucherie and Omakase Room.

Olio e Più in the East Village has yet to announce an opening date.
