Longstanding cafe Olive’s is planning a new location in the Tribeca area at 413 Greenwich Street, according to recently filed permits. The space formerly belonged to Sweetgreen.

Olive’s, which has been open since 1992, sits at 191 Prince Street. In 2014, Olive’s opened a second location at 225 Liberty Street. The new spot will be the third location for the brand.

Owners Toni Allocca and Nick Hartman have focused on consistency in their menu over the years. Olive’s is known for its sandwiches, soups and salads, and it is especially popular as a to-go spot.

The menu features sandwiches like the Olive’s Hero, the Olive’s Egg Sandwich and a roast beef sandwich dubbed the “Special Sandwich.” The cafe also serves breakfast sandwiches and pastries, a full coffee and tea menu and daily specials, which are advertised on their website. Customers can also select from a wide array of dessert options, including cookies, brownies and java cake.

While the current Olive’s menu does not appear to feature alcoholic beverages, the new location is expected to serve beverages such as wine, beer and cider, according to the permits filed.

While an official opening date has not been set, it is expected that the new location will open this fall.

What Now New York has reached out to Olive’s ownership for more information on the upcoming location but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates.
