Philadelphia’s Kook Burger and Bar Set to Expand to New York in April 2024

The expansion of the popular eatery, known for its 100% Certified Angus Beef (CAB) Smash Burgers, will take place at, 47 7th Avenue South.

Philadelphia-based Kook Burger and Bar is set to make its New York debut in April 2024. The expansion of the popular eatery, known for its 100% Certified Angus Beef (CAB) Smash Burgers, will take place at, 47 7th Avenue South, according to paperwork filed with the city.

Kook Burger and Bar, famous for its “Broski Burger” and a variety of unique milkshakes including Hand Spun Milkshakes and “Shoobie Shakes,” has established a strong following in Philadelphia. Its menu also features an array of specialty fries and traditional poutine, catering to a wide range of tastes.

The restaurant is part of the Absecon Capital portfolio. Absecon Capital, Inc. is a hospitality management and ownership group with a focus on coffee and casual dining segments with four brands under its umbrella: Black Turtle Coffee, Kook Burger, Jester Castle, and and course, Kook Burger and Bar.

Kook Burger and Bar is “an expansion of the Kook Burger concept in the form of a full-service sports bar that features a larger menu along with a wide variety of craft beer, margarita and whisky flights, and delicious cocktails that perfectly pair with your meal,” according to the Absecon website. “The concept has went viral on social media — and the KBB Instagram touts nearly 100,000 followers since opening in February 2023.”

Kook Burger and Bar’s existing Philadelphia location is on the 1st Floor of 2102 Market St.
