Bar concept Rawhide has filed paperwork with the community board for a spot at 250 West 26th St. The space was formerly home to private club M4M.
Robert Fluet, Robert Hynds and Raymond Geerlof are behind the forthcoming spot. The team is not new to the New York bar and entertainment scene. They currently operate gay sports bar concept Boxers NYC, which has locations in Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen, as well as Hell’s Kitchen entertainment venue Hush.
The forthcoming spot will take nearly 2,400 square feet of cellar space as well as a nearly 350-square-foot mezzanine. The cellar floor will feature 27 tables and 41 seats, as well as a nine-seat bar, while the mezzanine has plans for six tables that will seat 12.
The spot will offer drinks alongside a limited food menu. The proposed menu filed with the community board includes items like pizza, chicken fingers and chips and salsa.
The proposed hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily, with hours restricted to 2 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
As of now, an opening timeline for the spot has not been released.
