New York-based SA Hospitality Group has inked a lease for one of their concepts, Felice, at Trump Plaza on the Upper East Side. The spot will go into a 3,400-square-foot space previously home to Upper East Cafe, with plans to open in July, according to reporting by the New York Business Journal.
What Now New York reached out to Felice representatives for more information on the forthcoming location but they declined to comment at this time.
SA Hospitality Group manages signature brands Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever and Felice.
“At SA Hospitality Group, we seek to awaken a universal passion for the Italian experience,” the SA Hospitality website states. “We bring familial warmth and authenticity to those looking for intimate contemporary spaces that offer undeniable quality experiences.”
The hospitality group finds its roots in the original Sant Ambroeus, which opened in Milan in 1936. The brand made the jump to New York in 1982.
SA Hospitality opened fine-dining restaurant Felice in 2007 on the Upper East Side, with a menu and design inspired by the Italian countryside. The menu offers Tuscan-inspired dishes and an Italian-focused wine list.
Since 2007, Felice has expanded to include seven New York City locations, one restaurant in Westchester County, two in Brooklyn, one in Long Island and two in Florida.
