Sam Yoo opened his two concepts Golden HOF and NY Kimchi at Rockefeller Center five months ago. The two spots opened alongside each other, with Golden HOF offering a Korean bar atmosphere and NY Kimchi serving as a Korean raw bar and steakhouse. However, Yoo has now made the decision to merge the concepts into one, according to a recent Instagram announcement.

The spots have been rebranded to Golden Hof – Korean Bar and Grill. It will feature a Bar Room on the ground floor and a Grill Room on the lower level that will offer tableside Korean BBQ. There will also be a new menu served across both floors, with both familiar and new dishes.

The menu will feature a raw bar with items like East Coast oysters and jumbo shrimp cocktails; starters like Korean fried chicken wings and shishito peppers; sandwiches and prime steak-frites; rice and noodles; HOF lunch boxes with rice, banchan and kimchi; and Korean BBQ sets.

Yoo indicated in the announcement that the change comes in light of customer feedback.

Yoo is also behind the popular Golden Diner, which opened in 2019 in Chinatown.
