One of Brooklyn’s favorite wine bars is currently gearing up for their first-ever expansion into Manhattan.

Sauced Wine Bar is a popular wine bar and night club established at 331 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. The brains behind the operation, Four Happy Men Hospitality, were also behind the popular concepts Loosie’s Kitchen and Loosie Rouge. Co-Founder Damien Del Rio claimed to have founded the concept in order to “flip the wine bar world on its head,” establishing one of the most popular wine haunts in the neighborhood.

Offering over 150 unique bottles of wine, Sauced cultivates a slick presence with a designated dancing room replete with live music and its own disco ball. Part wine bar, part low-key dance club, Sauced embodies the luxurious and elegance of a wine bar while eschewing its pretention, inviting guests to get sauced up and express themselves on the dance floor.

The beverage program is lead by winemaker Jordan Veran, who previously worked at L’Avant Comptoir in Paris. Uniquely, Veran eschews a traditional wine menu and instead talks to customers himself, offering samples and discovering the perfect bottle for the evening. The menu meanwhile is headed by chefs Henry Lu and Facundo Kairuz, veterans of Chez Ma Tante and Llama Inn.

Now, Del Rio and the team at Four Happy Men are getting ready to bring their popular concept to a brand new audience. Sauced Wine Bar has just recently secured the lease for a brand new expansion at 47 Second Avenue, between East Third Street and East Second. The space was previously home to a tattoo parlor called katie gray.

While Damien and the team aren’t prepared to share further details at the moment, he did tease the expansion with a recent Instagram post that hinted at a “new chapter 2023”. While you wait for further announcements, you can follow Sauced Wine Bar on Instagram or pay the team a visit at their Bedford Ave location to get a taste of what to expect in the future.
