One of New York’s favorite authentic Neapolitan Pizza restaurants is continuing its impressive expansion.
Song E Napule is an authentic pizzeria from owner Ciro Iovine. A Neapolitan native and father of four children, Ciro considers himself a dreamer and a self made man, who brought his dreams to life in 2015 when he opened his first restaurant with his wife Austria and his brother Giovanni. A pizza chef since the age of 13, Ciro’s unparalleled passion for pizza has quickly transformed the restaurant into one of Greenwich Village’s most popular new pizzerias.
Now, Iovine and his team are preparing to expand their original concept with an exciting new location. According to a recent liquor license filing with the state of New York, the next Song E Napule will be opening up at 132 West Houston Street. The pizzeria will be replacing Miss Lily’s, a well-known Jamaican restaurant led by Chef de Cuisine Kahari Woolcock and Culinary Director Andre Fowles. While the location is greatly missed, Miss Lily’s thankfully operates another location at 109 Avenue A.
The new location is very spacious, and boasts approximately 3,080 square feet of space between the ground floor and basement. The ground floor will offer enough space to seat about 44 guests, with additional sidewalk seating planned, pending community board approval. The restaurant will also offer beer and wine, as Ciro and the team are currently in the process of acquiring an on-premise beer and wine license for the space. At the moment, they are proposing operating hours of 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM every day, seven days a week.
Most recently, Song E Napule just launched their first expansion into New Jersey at 106 Park Avenue in Rutherford. Additionally, the team is also planning to open another location on the Upper West Side at 464 Amsterdam Avenue, which is currently listed on their website as “Coming Soon.” For further updates, you can follow Song E Napule on Instagram for information regarding all of their new projects.
