It’s time to chalk up those cues, New York, because a brand new billiards parlor and game hall is opening up in the East Village later this year.

Aaron Ho is currently running one of the Lower East Side’s most popular game halls. As the founder of Sour Mouse, Aaron established an exciting new concept that transports guests back in time, “when love, music, art, and community were freely expressed.” Offering a variety of different game options like ping pong, pool, and foosball, Sour Mouse is a place dedicated to leisure for the community, envisioned as a place where guests can finally put their phones down and enjoy the company of others.

Established in 2020 at 110 Delancey Street, Sour Mouse has been steadily growing in popularity, coming back especially strong after the turbulence brought on by the pandemic. Aaron has been in the process of expanding his vision for quite some time and is now getting ready to launch a brand new concept. What Now NY previously covered the news of his first expansion, but the location sadly fell through and Aaron was forced to delay the launch.

Now though, Aaron has acquired the lease to a brand new space and is once again on track to bringing his newest concept to life. His new concept, called Sugar Mouse, is now expected to open up at 101 East 10th Street, between Third and Second Avenue. The new location is rather spacious, and is expected to seat a total of 80 guests, including an additional 30 seats across 10 stand-up bars. Like Sour Mouse, Sugar Mouse will feature a wide variety of different bar games, including Billiards, Shuffleboard, Ping-Pong, and Foosball, which will be available for customers to rent as they please.

For the menu, Sugar Mouse is expected to offer a program similar to the one at Sour Mouse, and will offer bar foods and fried snacks, as well as a few different pizza options. Sugar Mouse will also feature an impressive beer and wine collection and will offer draft beers in both pints and pitchers. Aaron is also looking to acquire a full liquor license for the space, which would enable him to serve additional craft cocktails at Sugar Mouse, and is currently getting ready to propose his new concept to the community board. He is proposing operating hours of 2:00 PM – 1:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM on Thursday, and 2:00 PM – 3:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. While Aaron still has a lot of work ahead of him to prepare the new space, yo can follow Sour Mouse on Instagram for regular updates.
