An exciting new bar is currently being planned for Greenwich Village from the mind of one of 2021’s most popular bars.

Watch out, New York! There’s a new force to be reckoned with and he’s working as hard as he can to transform the landscape of New York Hospitality. Business developer Robert Goldman made waves last year when he launched St. Theo’s, a lavish Italian restaurant lead by Chef Ashley Rath from The Waverly Inn. Featuring the highly anticipated Venice Bar, St Theo’s operated a secretive speakeasy in the back that would transport guests to an unforgettable Venetian Lounge. Goldman earned substantial acclaim for the design of St. Theo’s and now he’s gearing up to open a brand new concept.

Goldman’s latest project, which has still yet to be named, is currently being planned for 450 West Broadway. Described by Goldman as a “quality neighborhood restaurant,” his new project will offer “breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an Italian menu.” In addition to the Italian menu, Goldman is also in the process of acquiring a full liquor license and is expected to serve a unique selection of specialty cocktails, though it’s not clear at the moment whether he will operate a speakeasy concept like Venice Bar.

Moving into a former West Broadway art gallery, the new restaurant has acquired a spacious location with high ceilings and ample room for dining. Boasting an impressive 5,620 square feet of space between the first floor and cellar, the restaurant is expected to serve up to 140 guests at one time and is expected to be open daily from 7AM 2AM, seven days a week. While Rob will be presenting his application to the community board later this month, he and his team are looking to open the restaurant in Fall 2022.
