As one of the principal developers of Hudson Yards, Stephen Ross is one of the most important names in New York real estate. The chairman and and majority owner of global real estate development firm The Related Companies, Ross is best known for spearheading the development of both The Time Warner Center and Hudson yards. Now, as The Related Company enacts its plan to develop a new mixed-use building at 451 Tenth Avenue, Ross and Related Companies Executive Vice President Bryan Cho will be opening up a luxurious new restaurant and speakeasy on the ground floor.

The new concept, tentatively dubbed 451 Tenth Avenue Restaurant, is envisioned as a modern American farm-to-table casual restaurant and bakery with an additional cellar bar. With an exciting dining menu headed by star Chef Dan Kluger, the new restaurant will offer seasonal hors d’oeuvres as well as a specialty bakery that will sell prepared grab-and-go foods alongside available made to order hot breakfast options.

For the Fall Dinner Menu, Chef Kluger will be cooking up seasonal, local-driven, re-imagined American cuisine with vegetables at the forefront of the experience. Creating a “playful, modern take on take on recognizable dishes using bold, unexpected flavors and cooking techniques.” With a menu described as “vegetable forward small plates and entrees”, the bakery space seamlessly transitions from day to night as the rotating “harvest to table” tasting menu comes to life, showcasing Chef Kluger’s creativity and highlighting his favorite seasonal ingredients.

Below the ground floor, the restaurant’s cellar will be transformed into The Mudroom, a sophisticated yet approachable cocktail program featuring modern versions of classic favorites, highlighting spirits from the Hudson Valley. Featuring an extensive list of artisanal and local spirits, guests will be able to enjoy signature cocktails with house-made syrup and house-infused liquors while making themselves at home amongst the plush furniture and era-appropriate décor.

With so much thoughtful planning going into this project, the new restaurant at 451 Tenth Avenue is poised to become one of the next jewels of The Hudson Yards. While Stephen and Bryan couldn’t be reached for comment, the two are still early into the development process. Filing for a total of three liquor licenses at the location, The Related Company has two other projects at the location in the works, though the information on those projects is scarce at the moemnt.
