Cinnamon roll bakery Sunday Morning, which debuted in January in the East Village, is expanding later this year. It has taken a lease for a 3,000-square-foot space in NoMad at 11 W. 25th St., according to reporting by the New York Business Journal. It is expected to open in December.

Armando Litiatco and Ahmet Kiranbay are behind the concept, which centers solely around cinnamon rolls, baked fresh daily. They offer 10 rotating cinnamon roll flavors daily at the shop. In a previous interview with What Now New York, Litiatco shared that his goal was to create a spot dedicated to gooey, fluffy American-style cinnamon rolls.

“I don’t do a lot of sweets and pastries, but my favorite thing to cook is cinnamon rolls in the classic American style,” Litiatco said in a previous interview. “It’s very hard to find, believe it or not.”

The spot has exploded in popularity since it opened, gaining acclaim on social media. The shop rolls out creative flavors like blueberry lemon curd and strawberry earl grey.

Litiatco declined to comment at this time on the forthcoming location. Further details are expected to roll out in coming months.
