The team behind the newly opened restaurant Margot in Fort Greene is looking to open a wine bar called Heaven and Earth in Greenpoint next year.

Halley Chambers and Kip Greene opened Margot, a “neighborhood restaurant” that is “highly seasonal, collaborative, and always changing,” this spring. The two are planning on opening a wine bar at 290 Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint next year. Its targeted opening is January 2024, according to Eater.

The announcement comes on the heels of Margot naming a new head chef after parting ways with chef Alexia Duchêne just a month into opening. The kitchen is now helmed by Frank Scarlota-Gurten who previously worked at Contra and Momofuku Ko.

Chambers has experience in the finance, business and hospitality industries. While serving as a director at The Oberon, she operated June Wine Bar, Rucola Restaurant and Rhodora Wine Bar, as well as a catering company.

Green started her cooking career at the Michelin-starred restaurant Aska. She rose through the ranks of the industry working at June Wine Bar, Dedalus Wine Shop and Eleven Madison Park.
