The Meat Hook, a whole-animal butcher shop in Brooklyn, is expanding with not one, but two new storefronts simultaneously, Eater New York is reporting. Carroll Gardens and Hudson are where The Meat Hook will open in spring 2024, at 301 Sackett Street and 322 Warren Street, respectively.

A post to The Meat Hook’s Instagram confirms the news.

“This is not a drill [.] We’re extremely excited to finally be making this announcement and couldn’t imagine a better way to announce it than with the help of [Eater New York],” the social media post states alongside a screenshot of the coverage. “Stay tuned cool cats and big dawgs! The family is getting larger!…”

The Meat Hook, founded in 2009, offers “grass-fed, pasture-raised, meat for the people,” according to its website.

“Along the way, we’ve learned that great meat starts with great people, prioritizing long-term relationships with farmers and the education of our in-house team,” its about page shares. “That also means investing in our community, from hosting neighborhood pop-ups and collaborations with local restaurants, to making you feel welcome every time you step through our door.”

The Meat Hook’s selection has grown to include produce, ready-made meals, and essential pantry items, complementing its butcher service and sausage offerings. Owner Brent Young also opened a companion eatery, Cozy Royale.
