Pollo Campero, the largest Central American chicken chain, is opening its third city outpost at 714 Lexington Ave. in Midtown in the next few months, a company public relations representative confirms.
The first New York location came to 601 8th Ave. near Port Authority in December 2022, and this past spring it opened another outpost at 966 6th Ave. in Herald Square, as previously reported by What Now New York. Its third city outpost is currently under construction and anticipates opening in the upcoming months. The chain also just recently launched its first-ever breakfast menu, which is exclusively available at its Manhattan locations. Its new menu items include a fried chicken sandwich with egg and cheese, hashbrowns and Guatemalan coffee. Its breakfast food is available from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends.
The chain was established in Guatemala in 1971. It now has nearly 400 locations around the world, one hundred of which are in the United States. Its first U.S. outpost opened in Los Angeles in 2001, and it currently has its headquarters based out of Dallas.
