The Lambs Club Restaurant will permanently close on July 25. The fine dining restaurant has been part of New York’s rich Broadway and theater culture for a long time.
Legendary The Lambs Club Restaurant Set to Close
Founded by acclaimed chef Geoffrey Zakarian, The Lambs Club Restaurant is an elevated dining destination. Located in the landmark Stanford White Building, the space served as an exclusive club for actors.
According to an Eater report, the Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant found its home inside the Chatwal Hotel in 2010.
The restaurant features an Art Deco-inspired dining room and a menu of contemporary American cuisine. Recommended items on the menu include Amish chicken, Italian burrata, and yellowfin tuna tartare.
The restaurant announced the closure in an Instagram post. The restaurant thanked its customers and especially the Broadway community for their support. “It has been an honor to serve as a gathering place for so many artists, performers, producers, and theatergoers over the years,” stated the team.
In the post, the restaurant team did not share any official reason for its closure.
Reflecting on its journey, the team noted, “Since opening, The Lambs Club Restaurant has had the privilege of being part of New York City’s vibrant dining landscape, welcoming locals, visitors, and generations of guests through our doors.”

New Restaurant Moves In
After The Lambs Club closes, the space will be taken over by a new restaurant, The Wolseley Restaurant. Additional details about the new restaurant have not yet been announced.

With the closure of The Lambs Club Restaurant, the NYC dining community is losing a gem. The restaurant team invites the community to visit and enjoy their favorite meal one more time before it closes permanently.
