Valla Table is primed for expansion, according to paperwork recently filed with the community board. The Thai restaurant located at 641 10th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen has signed a lease for the neighboring store space that formerly belonged to Hell’s Chicken at the same address.
The expansion into the new space will double the size of the restaurant, according to the paperwork. Plans for the space include a revamp of the newly acquired store area to align it with Valla Table’s current aesthetic and to prepare the expanded space for opening.
The entire space will have 30 tables with 60 seats and two bars that will seat a total of 10 customers. The proposed hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Valla Table, helmed by chef Chuck Valla, has operated in Hell’s Kitchen since it opened in 2020. It serves elevated Thai cuisine, offering “unique and authentic Thai flavors that pair perfectly with a carefully curated wine list,” according to the Valla Table website.
The menu features dishes with beef, chicken, pork, fried rice and vegetables. There are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, as well.
“The mission is simple: Provide our customers with the most fresh, healthy and authentic Thai cuisine available in Hell’s Kitchen,” the Valla Table website states. “Each dish is prepared meticulously with extra attention to every detail, flavor and presentation.”
As of now, it is unclear when the expansion will be completed.
