Can you see it, New York? One of the country’s premiere fashion retailers is currently planning an exciting new store for the meatpacking district. You can’t see it? Hang on, maybe you need some new glasses…
Krewe Eyewear is an independent eyewear company that celebrates individual style through culturally inspired frames. Founded by Stirling Barrett in 2013, Barrett endeavored to create frames that were inspired by the vibrant culture of New Orleans. Thanks to their special emphasis on a comfortable fit and stylish designs, Krewe has become increasingly popular over the past 8 years. Today, the brand boasts nearly 15 brick-and-mortar stores across the country, including their original New York flagship in SoHo.
Now, Krewe is gearing up to develop a brand new flagship store for New York. The store is slated to open at 67 Gansevoort Street, in the heart of the Meatpacking District between 9th Avenue and Washington Street. The location features 3, 500 square feet of space between the basement and main floor, and will even offer an outdoor seating area capable of seating up to 16 guests.
Perhaps most excitingly, the Krewe team is currently applying for a beer and wine license for the space. Hoping to serve beer, wine, and light snacks to guests as they browse through the store’s many fine options, the space will also feature tables for relaxing and enjoying the space, as well as an additional standing bar. The new store is expected to operate daily from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week. While you wait for further updates, you can follow Krewe on Instagram for all their latest updates on new deals and products.
