Wetzel’s Pretzels announced Wednesday that it has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation for the upcoming release of The Cat in the Hat. Coming to theatres on November 6, the soft pretzel brand is celebrating the film debut with a new, limited-time and movie-themed frozen drink.
Wetzel’s Pretzels Launches The Things’ Blue Lemonade Freeze
Beginning today, The Things’ Blue Lemonade Freeze will be available at all participating Wetzel’s Pretzels locations in the nation. The drink combines blue raspberry granita and frozen lemonade and is inspired by Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Cherry boba, lemonade, and blue raspberry granita are layered in the drink to create a sweet-and-tart combination that parallels the extraordinary antics of the upcoming movie.
“We are honored to be an official partner for this film,” Sarah Curtis, Vice President of Marketing for Wetzel’s Pretzels said in a release. “It’s the perfect partnership because Wetzel’s Pretzels is all about making everyday moments a little more fun, and The Cat in the Hat gave us the opportunity to bring that playful spirit to life. The Things’ Blue Lemonade Freeze is a refreshingly playful mix of tart and sweet, bringing a burst of fun to every sip.”

Wetzel’s Pretzels offers hand-rolled menu items that the California-based snack company says pairs perfectly with the frozen drink. The menu also includes hand-rolled Dog Bites and Pizza Bitz.
About The Cat in the Hat
The partnership arrives just ahead of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s first-ever full-length feature film.
The film is a new adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ book and stars Bill Hader as the voice of the Cat, who is tasked with cheering up siblings Gabby and Sebastian. The voice cast also includes Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Tituss Burgess, Bowen Yang, and Paula Pell. The movie, directed by Erica Rivinoja and Alessandro Carloni promises to be a present-day blend of imagination and a blend of classic Dr. Seuss imaginative flair and comedic entertainment the whole family will enjoy.
The Things’ Blue Lemonade Freeze will be available at participating locations nationwide through December 6.
