Inspection Findings

The most serious violation was the lack of proper hot water temperatures within the facility. Temperature readings by inspectors revealed only 92°F at the kitchen handwash sink, 95°F at the 3-compartment sink, 85°F at the 1-compartment sink, 79°F at the mop sink, and 81°F at the restroom handwash sink.

Food safety violations were also mentioned in the inspection report by Environmental Health Specialist K Phan. Uncovered drinks were found in the display cooler next to the juicing machines. Food storage problems included boxes of cookies stored on the floor near the 1-compartment sink and boxes of ice cream and strawberries stored on the floor in the walk-in freezer.

Equipment issues included a continuously leaking faucet at the 3-compartment sink. The facility also had problems with waste management, as the trash dumpster was found uncovered. Additionally, the employee restroom door was being kept open when cleaning or maintenance was not being conducted.

The facility’s food manager certificate belongs to Yingzhen Xu and expires on March 13, 2029. The inspection report noted that it superseded a handwritten report left on-site during the visit. The person in charge during the inspection, G. Ruiz, signed the report.

The Juice It Up health permit was suspended due to the absence of sufficient hot water and multiple health code violations. No food or beverage sales are permitted until all violations are corrected. The facility was immediately closed following the inspection with no reinspection date scheduled. The establishment must contact the Orange County Health Agency before it can reopen.
