Inspectors observed grime on the inside of the ice machine at Jizake Sushi Restaurant. Inspectors noted a whisk stored in contact with a soiled cleaning sponge.
Some of the violations were corrected here. The health inspectors noted rodent droppings on the storage shelves behind the sushi bar, on the sushi bar preparation table against the wall, and the floor throughout the sushi bar, kitchen, and storage rooms.
The restaurant was ordered to clean and sanitize all affected areas. The report noted gaps between the front and back doors and the surrounding walls. Additional gaps were found behind a wooden board attached to the wall, behind the ice machine, along the baseboards in the entryway, near the dry storage room closet, and by the vertical reach-in freezer.
Several spots, like the walls, baseboards, and floor throughout the sushi bar and kitchen, were seen in disrepair. Inspectors instructed the restaurant to seal the gaps and ensure all surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
