Rutabegorz is Closing the Tustin Location
Rutabegorz is one of the oldest independently run restaurant brands in Orange County. Located at 158 W Main St, Tustin, CA 92780, the restaurant will shutter its Tustin location after service on October 30, 2025.
The restaurant did not provide a specific reason for the closure. The Instagram post by the restaurant cited that now is the time to consider retirement after a 47-year run. While expressing gratitude towards the community, the restaurant said, “The customers, their families, and then THEIR families, City personnel, and a multitude of long-term employees have all been a mainstay to Rutabegorz’s rich history.”

A Look at Rutabegorz and Its Beloved Menu
When Rutabegorz was opened in 1978 in Tustin, it quickly gained a loyal following because of its health-conscious, eclectic menu, featuring big, customizable salads, vegetarian sandwiches, wholesome soups, and a host of gluten-free offerings.
While the Tustin location is closing, the other two locations of Rutabegorz will continue to offer “Ruta-fix.”
