Travelers at John Wayne Airport in Orange County will soon have the opportunity to try local favorite Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails. The eatery is set to open at the 18601 Airport Way travel hub., according to an article from the LA Times

An airport representative tells the publication the business is working on a 3,000-square-foot location with 117 seats. It will open at some point next year, during the rollout of several new concession options onsite. 

Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, founded in 2011 by Pete Truxaw, brings a taste of home with its nostalgic comfort food. There are currently three established locations: Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, and Ladera Ranch.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share Mama’s luv with John Wayne Airport travelers beginning next year.  From our signature 32 oz Mama Mary to our famous Chicken & Waffles and Loaded Bacon Biscuit Skillet, Mama’s has plenty of incredible comfort foods to please every traveler passing through,” Pete Truxaw, founder/general partner at Mama’s Hospitality Group told What Now OC.

With an extensive menu of over 200 items, Mama’s offers everything from hearty breakfasts to satisfying dinners, along with an array of handcrafted cocktails and a curated wine list. The brand has built a strong reputation for its generous portions and quality ingredients.
