Alohana Açaí Bowls & Coffee may be coming to Huntington Beach. According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, the brand has filed plans for a store at 19171 Magnolia St., Suite 5, which are currently under review by officials.

If approved, the company will be moving into a unit that previously housed a construction and remodeling business, described as under 2,000 square feet. The strip mall is part of a larger plaza anchored by Home Depot.

Alohana began as a mobile trailer in 2016, with the founders inspired to offer healthier alternatives to traditional trade show food. The brand focuses on nutritious, superfood-rich bowls and smoothies, and some select locations serve coffee, its website explains.

The company’s footprint now spans Orange and San Diego counties, including locations in San Clemente, Capo Beach, Laguna Beach, and Laguna Niguel. Earlier this year, Inland Empire expansion plans were teased for the near future as well.
